psychology tomorrow - wilhelmina frankfurt

My portraits of the collaborative-self of New York City Ballet ballerina Wilhelmina Frankfurt for Psychology Tomorrow Magazine.

He is drunk and old and facing death. He has these excuses. He has tried and I have refused. It’s our relationship. Our dance. – Wilhelmina Frankfurt

In the course of our conversation for this portrait of the collaborative-self session, I had mentioned to Russell how the participant could use either the available paint and/or paper to make their “marks”…construct a background/setting for themselves.  Without missing a beat Russell walked onto the set and said: “I’ve been surrounded by white my entire life, this will do.”
